2024 Steam Awards Announced

The winner of the Steam 2024 game of the year award, where five finalists competed, was Black Myth Wukong. The other finalists were as follows; Space Marine, Stalker 2 Hearth of Chornobyl, Balatro and Helldivers 2 Tvranny Prophecies.

Blade and Sorcery, DAVIGO: VR vs. PC, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2, Metro Awakening and Maestro were voted as finalists, and METRO AWAKENING received the best VR game of the year award.

There were five finalists in the Love Continuing Award category, where games that have been with gamers for a long time but the development team continues to develop as they did on the first day compete. These are; DOTA 2, No Man's Sky, Stardew Valley, Baldur's Gate and Elden Ring. The game that stood out among these finalists and won the Love Continuing Award was Elden ring.

Hades II, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, God of War Ragnarök and Balatro competed in the Steam Deck category. Among these five finalists, God of War Ragnarök won the Best Game Award on the Steam Deck.

Another category in the Steam 2024 awards is the More Fun with Friends Award. In this category, Satisfactory, HELLDIVERS™ 2, Sons Of The Forest, Palworld and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 were the five finalists. The winner of this category was HELLDIVERS™ 2 as a result of the voting.

In another award, the Outstanding Visual Style Award, Hades II, Nine Sols, SILENT HILL 2, Neva, Metaphor: ReFantazio were the five finalists. Among these games, SILENT HILL 2 was the game that was most liked by the voters in terms of visual style.

With the innovations and surprises brought by their designers, Satisfactory, HELLDIVERS™ 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Balatro and Liar's Bar games were chosen by the players as the finalists in the Most Innovative Gameplay Award category. Liar's Bar was the winner among these games.

Frostpunk 2, SILENT HILL 2, Fate/stay night REMASTERED, Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition and Red Dead Redemption were the finalists in the Best Game Music Award and Red Dead Redemption won.

In the 2024 Steam Awards Outstanding Rich Story Award category, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, Black Myth: Wukong, Mouthwashing and FINAL FANTASY XVI competed as finalists. In this competition, the game that dominated in terms of story and was the most liked by the users was Black Myth: Wukong.
